British Airways has said it could lay off as many as 12,000 staff – amounting of over a quarter of the overall workforce – due to the impact of COVID-19.
Parent company IAG has said that the recovery from the COVID-19 crisis could take several years.
IAG also includes Are Lingus as well as Spain’s Iberia and Vueling airlines.
