Statement from Topflight regarding cancelled bookings, flexibility and summer 2021 programme which goes live on Monday March 23, 2020

Statement in full below:

Topflight have been working hard to help clients through this unprecedented period of disruption.

We’ve summarised below key information in regards to cancelled bookings, what measures we are taking to provide flexibility for your clients who have booked or are considering booking, and our Summer 2021 programme which goes live next Monday 23rd March.

Ski 2019 / 20

For clients whose ski holidays were recently cancelled, you’re probably already aware that the Commission for Aviation Regulation, Civil Aviation Authority, our Government and their counterparts across Europe are considering mechanisms to compensate clients while protecting travel agents, tour operators and the jobs of the people who work in our industry.

We are monitoring this situation very closely and will be in touch as soon as we have more news but expect that this could run into next week. We appreciate the current uncertainty will be distressing for some clients but they should take comfort that, by booking with a licensed, bonded company, their funds are protected.

Ski 2020 / 21

Currently on sale with strong early demand. Our normal booking conditions apply.

Summer 2020

All holidays due to travel to Italy before the current travel restrictions end on 3rd April have been cancelled and clients will be compensated in line with Ski 2020 outlined above. Similarly for any holidays currently scheduled to operate but which are subsequently cancelled due to travel restrictions.

For your clients who cancelled a Summer 2020 holiday since the outbreak of Coronavirus in Europe on 22nd Feb 2020, and have already booked or are considering booking future dates in Summer 2020, we’ve introduced measures to provide some flexibility.

Topflight Charter & Tailormade Holidays

Balance due date is now 6 weeks before date of travel (reduced from 12 weeks)
Clients wishing to cancel for any reason before the balance due date have the choice of:
Transfer their deposit to a later date in Summer 2020
Transfer their deposit to a holiday for Summer 2021

Loss of deposit

For clients transferring to a later date in Summer 2020 or Summer 2021, no amendment fees will apply. If the new holiday has a higher cost, your client will need to pay the difference.
For cancellation within 6 weeks of travel, normal cancellation conditions apply

Topflight Cruise Holidays

For flights, hotels or transfer elements of the holiday, our flexible cancellation and payment terms will apply.
Given the variety of conditions applied by the cruise companies, the cruise element of the holiday will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis (in some cases refund may be possible, in others a voucher for future travel will apply for cancellations between 12-6 weeks before travel.

Summer 2021

Goes on sale next Monday 23rd March. Our normal booking conditions apply including for any bookings transferred from Summer 2020.

We really appreciate the continued support of the Irish travel trade and will continue to do what we can to support you through these challenging times.

Please note that due to a higher volume of calls, our phone lines are extremely busy during this period.

It’s not easy out there but we will get through this and become stronger for it.

Best regards,

Tony, Shauna, Maurice and the Topflight Team
