CLIA Opens Up More Trade Places for Biggest Ever Annual Conference

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) UK & Ireland has revealed that a limited number of extra places have been made available for its annual conference in May

Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) UK & Ireland has revealed that a limited number of extra places have been made available for its annual conference in May.
The conference originally sold out in a record-breaking 48 hours, but additional delegates are now able to join thanks to P&O Cruises adding Britannia to the ship visit schedule, and more spaces being offered on ships from the original line-up.
Registration is open now for CLIA members.
The conference will be held from May 23-25 in Southampton and is the largest annual travel agent event of its kind in Europe. Around 850 attendees will join, making it the biggest ever.
Operators from across the ocean, river, expedition, yacht and small ship sectors will attend, to help showcase the opportunities that all segments of cruise offers to travel agent partners.
This year’s event has a theme of #DiscoverMore and will focus on the wealth and variety of destinations that are accessible via cruise ship. It will include conference sessions, a trade fair, ship visits and a gala dinner.
This is the second round of additional places to have been made available due to ongoing demand.
Andy Harmer, CLIA Managing Director UK & Ireland, said:
“We’re thrilled to be able to offer yet more places to the trade for our biggest-ever CLIA Conference. I’m particularly grateful to P&O Cruises for adding the stunning Britannia to our cruise ship line-up, meaning delegates have a wealth of onboard options to experience and explore.
“CLIA Conference offers delegates the ideal opportunity to engage with operators from all sectors of the industry and we can’t wait for a record-breaking number of agents to join us.
“The cruise industry has had an incredibly positive start to the year and we’re looking forward to maintaining that momentum in the run-up to the conference. We can then give agents even more reasons to sell cruise, and will provide the insight and expertise to showcase everything their customers will love about a holiday at sea.”
In addition to Britannia, the other ships on offer are:
* Cunard’s Queen Anne
* Fred Olsen’s Borealis
* MSC Virtuosa
* P&O Cruises’ Iona
* Princess Cruises’ Sky Princess
* Silversea’s Silver Dawn
