Well-known travel industry entrepreneur and business leader, Ciaran Mulligan, is leaving Blue Insurance after 17 years.
Ciaran will be officially leaving Blue on Friday 30th October 2020.
Ciaran said: “It has been a real pleasure working with colleagues and friends from the Northern Ireland Travel Industry and I will miss them all.
“Our very first agent in Northern Ireland was Terra Travel with Terry Senior in 2007 followed by the rest of the Consort group in 2008 and continued to grow in Northern Ireland thereafter.
“We are super proud to have won Best Travel Insurance Provider in Northern Ireland since 2008 and are delighted to continue to sponsor the Northern Ireland Travel Industry Awards.
“I will miss all my friends from the Travel Industry in the North and hopefully I will get a chance to celebrate with them after this lockdown, “DJ Mully” will be back.
“I’m delighted my colleague and friend Maeve Slamon will be stepping into the role and no doubt Jason, Eoghan, Paul and Jeanette will continue to look after the trade.
“I have to say I think the Travel Industry is one of the most toughest and resilient industries out there and despite constantly being battered whether its 9/11, the economic crisis or Covid-19, you continue to plough on battle through another crisis.
“As an entrepreneur and business leader, I have total respect for the travel industry. I sincerely hope that a vaccine is produced soon and that our skies open up so we can all travel again and business starts to flourish.
“Personally I would like to thank you all for kindness over the years. You have been very kind to me from the first days that Rowan and I opened Blue Insurance, right up to this very day.”
