Capital Region USA, the official regional destination marketing organisation promoting Washington, DC, Virginia, and Maryland internationally, has appointed Click Travel Marketing & PR to provide public relations services in the UK & Ireland.

With immediate effect, Click Travel Marketing & PR will work with Capital Region USA, in partnership with Destination DC, the Virginia Tourism Corporation, the Maryland Office of Tourism Development and the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority. Click Travel Marketing & PR will increase Capital Region USA’s market share in the UK & Ireland, deliver public relations campaigns, and manage Capital Region USA’s social media presence across these markets.

Jo White, Owner & Director of Click Travel Marketing & PR, will work alongside Click’s PR Director Cass Helstrip for Capital Region USA. Jo and Cass are travel industry communications experts, both with over 20 years’ experience in promoting North American destinations.

Scott Balyo, Executive Director of Capital Region USA, said: “We are delighted to be working with Click Travel Marketing & PR. Their innovative strategy was refreshing and passionate, and their expertise and reputations preceded them. The campaign proposal was notably imaginative, and the team is thrilled to be welcoming Jo and Cass to the Capital Region USA team.”

White said:

“We are elated to begin promoting the Capital Region USA at what is an exciting time for the region as it looks ahead to the 250th anniversary of American Independence in 2026. Having travelled the destination extensively, it is the region’s vibrancy and dynamic character that sets it apart as one of the most diverse and aspirational US destinations.”

Helstrip added:

“We aim to demonstrate to the media how the region transcends politics. Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia each possess distinct cultural identities that blend perfectly together to create a captivating and colourful narrative. We will integrate these stories to show the depth of the region to the media in the UK & Ireland. We can’t wait to tout the region and foster a deeper understanding and recognition of its potential.”
