British Airways Trade Partner Update

British Airways have again reached out to their trade partners in what is proving to be a very difficult time for the travel industry

British Airways have again reached out to their trade partners in what is proving to be a very difficult time for the travel industry.

British Airways have said they will “endeavour to keep you as updated as possible”, and reminds partners to ensure they are signed up to the BA Trade Website for live updates on the situation.

BA assure that support is available and they are continually updating policies to “ensure we can offer as much flexibility as possible as travel restrictions are further imposed.”

What you need to know from BA…

Changes to U.S. policy: The United States government imposed additional entry requirements that take effect on 16 March 2020, after 11:59 pm ET (17 March, after 03.59am GMT). These additional entry requirements apply to travellers who have been to the United Kingdom or Ireland within the previous 14 days.

Caring for our customers: We continue to update our policies to give our customers more flexibility and control over their plans as they continue to travel.

Credit: We recommend to all customers to take advantage of our ‘credit’ policy allowing them to exchange the ticket for a credit worth the full value of their original ticket.

Waivers: Under our ‘Book with Confidence’ policy, we offer a change fee waiver for all customers who purchased tickets any time for travel until 31 May 2020.

Special one-way fares: We have introduced new one-way fares to enable people wanting to cut short their trips or to book travel home.

NEW: Changes to our rebooking policy on cancelled flights as a direct result of Coronavirus.

For those customers who wish to rebook rather than refund, they can rebook into the same or lowest booking class in the same cabin for travel to be complete prior to 01 August. This change applies to both, direct and trade, bookings.

(Standard policy: rebook lowest booking class in the same cabin within 14 days, or rebook later ‘class to class’.)
