BREAKING NEWS: 31st Annual Travel & Tourism Awards Host Announced

Northern Ireland Travel and Tourism Awards will be held on Friday, October 13

Blue Lights star Martin McCann will be on stage hosting the 31st annual Travel and Tourism Awards organised by Northern Ireland Travel News.

Best known for his role in the current BBC hit series, ‘Blue Lights’, Belfast born McCann has also worked alongside directors such as Steven Spielberg, Terrence Malik and Yann Demange.

“Ever year we aim to bring something a bit different to the Awards and this year will be no exception,” said Jonathan Adair of Northern Ireland Travel News, organisers of the NI Travel & Tourism Awards.

“We have had many top TV stars in the past, but with the success of hit BBC series Blue Lights, I am delighted to have one of its biggest stars, Martin McCann as the host the 31st Annual Northern Ireland Travel and Tourism Awards”,

“Martin has taken time out of his busy schedule for this year’s awards as the filming of the second series is now underway right here in Northern Ireland”

Martin McCann’s first feature film experience was being cast by Richard Attenborough in ‘Closing the Ring,’ which was filmed in his home town of Belfast.

Star of both stage and screen, McCann has starred in hit productions such as  ‘The  Survivalist,’ ‘Calibre,’ ‘Marcella,’ and ’71.’

This year’s Northern Ireland Travel and Tourism Awards will be held on Friday, October 13 in the newly renovated Slieve Donard Hotel, Newcastle.
