Blue Skies Ahead – Competition Extended for One More Week & Fourth Set of Finalists Announced

Blue Insurance in association with the Aquasuites 4 Star Hotel in Lanzarote has announced that they will be extending their Blue Skies Ahead competition for one more week

Blue Insurance in association with the Aquasuites 4 Star Hotel in Lanzarote has announced that they will be extending their Blue Skies Ahead competition for one more week due to the unprecedented volume of entries from the travel trade.

The competition is giving the travel trade on the Island of Ireland the chance to win a fantastic holiday for 2 for 7 nights to Lanzarote! The trade is asked to nominate a person who brightened up their Covid-19 lockdown or who did something special and deserving of this prize.

This week’s two finalists in with a chance of winning this fabulous holiday are:

  • Liz Murphy from Discover Travel – “During lockdown Liz set up a go fund me page for the Irish Heart Foundation, she will do anything for anyone & travelled around placing offers in windows, even those offices that were closed.” (Nominated by Jackie Coakley)
  • Martin McClaren from Beachcomber Tours – “During lockdown Martin produced an episode of Mrs Brown each Saturday evening for the trade. He brought laughter each Saturday night.” (Nominated by Michelle Anderson)

A spokesperson for Blue Insurance said: “Congratulations to our latest two finalists who are deserving of their nominations and good luck to them in the overall final. The overall winner will be selected by a panel of judges and announced week commencing 6th of July.

“Just a reminder for the travel trade to send your entry along with a brief description of that fellow travel trade member who brightened up your Covid-19 lockdown to nominations@blueinsurance.ie. Remember you can nominate each week if your nomination is not selected weekly. Once again both Blue Insurance and Aquasuites would like to thank the Irish Travel Trade for their continued support.”
