Following the recent meeting involving ministers from the NI executive and representatives from Anita – discussions have begun to try and find a tailored support package for the Northern Ireland travel industry.

Damian Murphy from Terra Travel said: “There is no doubt the executive have taken on board all we have been saying and now recognise the enormity of the problems faced by our industry.

“Within the past few days Economy Minister Mrs Diane Dodds has publicly voiced support for us and the executive have wasted no time in attempting to progress the issue.

“We now need to gather a lot of information from our members and it is imperative that anyone wishing to avail of any possible support package forwards any requested information by return.

“We know the Executive have much to deal with at present and we are grateful for the response so far, but our work is far from over is securing some much needed support for our members.”

A further review is due to take place in 2 weeks time when it is hoped the executive will forward details of a support package.
