American Holidays Gets Taste of Crown Princess

American Holidays step onboard Crown Princess to check out the new Medallion system, designed to elevate the Princess Cruises product

Astrid Bell, Cruise Product Manager for American Holidays was lucky to be on board the stunning Crown Princess on Saturday July 27, 2019. She was one of the key trade partners hosted onboard alongside trade media.

Guests spent the day learning all about the new Ocean Medallion system, followed by a ship tour and lunch onboard.

Princess Cruises John Padgett, Chief Experience and Innovation Officer, and Tony Roberts, Vice President UK & Europe, also gave presentations showcasing the cruise line’s newest innovation the ‘Ocean Medallion’.

The Ocean Medallion is a first-of-its-kind wearable device that elevates every moment before, during and after your Ocean Medallion Vacation.

From on-demand food and drinks, interactive gaming, custom entertainment and smart navigation, the Medallion makes cruising simpler, and more personal and enjoyable than ever.

Astrid said: “I really enjoyed the Princess experience, which was very welcoming, and I would describe Princess cruises firmly a solid four-star cruise line offering  fantastic food and is suitable for all age groups. The ocean medallion was just being rolled out so it was great to learn all about it and how this will replace the traditional key card  – it even opens your stateroom door – plus you can order a drink from anywhere on the ship – very exciting!
