Amelia Island Sweeps the Board at the Florida Tourism Conference Awards

Amelia Island won seven Flagler awards at the 2022 Florida Governor’s Tourism Conference

Amelia Island, the beautiful barrier island in North-East Florida, won seven Flagler awards at the 2022 Florida Governor’s Tourism Conference for outstanding tourism marketing – more than any other entrant in this year’s competition.

The destination’s Convention and Marketing Bureau (CVB) won Henry Awards for its “Amelia Island Event Ads” (Social Media Marketing), “Amelia Island Instant Experience Travel Guides” (Mobile Marketing), and Amelia Island Meetings Brochure (Resource/Promotional Material-Trade), which also won the Best of Show trophy. The CVB also won a Silver Award for its “Amelia Island New York Times Great Getaways Emails” campaign (Direct Marketing), along with Bronze Awards for the Amelia Island Welcome Centre Displays (Out-of-Home) and the new Amelia Island Dickens on Centre Enchanted Village (Special Event).

“Year after year, our marketing team finds creative ways to effectively promote Amelia Island in what is an exceptionally competitive marketplace. We are proud to be recognised for ensuring the vitality of our local tourism industry and the resulting economic impacts,” said Gil Langley, president and CEO of the Amelia Island CVB.

The Flagler Awards honour many of the countless individuals and organisations that help position Florida as a premier travel destination and pay tribute to the determined efforts of those who help ensure the continued success of the state’s most important industry.
