NI Travel News’ Danielle was delighted to join agents on board Majestic Princess on Friday 15th May as the impressive 330m-long cruise liner docked in Belfast.

Agents were hosted by Abbie Cook & Evie Philp, who welcomed attendees onboard and presented an overview of Majestic Princess and the wider Princess Cruises brand.

Across the fleet, Princess Cruises currently operates 17 ships, sailing to all seven continents and to more than 345 destinations worldwide, giving agents plenty of choice to find the right itinerary to suit their clients’ needs.

Majestic Princess carries more than 3,500 guests and has a crew of over 1,300 from across the globe. The ship itself features 19 decks, offering plenty of space and facilities for guests to enjoy throughout their cruise. Majestic Princess is part of the line’s Royal Class, a collection of ships known for their size, beautiful furnishings and a broad range of facilities on board.

Throughout the tour, the group visited the central Piazza, several spaces, lounges, entertainment venues, kids’ clubs, the relaxing Lotus Spa as well as the pool deck, which features movies under the stars and the impressive Hollywood Pool club.

An interesting feature onboard is the Chinese writing, which is still visible in some areas of the ship.  Originally designed for the Chinese market, Majestic Princess sailed in China until 2020 before later opening up to international markets.

Following a refit in 2025, the ship welcomed several upgrades including the addition of signature venues such as the very popular O’Malley’s Irish Bar.

A key take away during the visit was Princess Cruises’ MedallionClass service. The Medallion acts as an upgraded version of a traditional cruise card, which connects with sensors around the ship and to guests’ phones.  Guests can do many things such as order food and drinks to many areas of the ship.

The Medallion is also used as a key to guests’ cabins, and crew can also see what the guests love to drink giving a more personalised experience onboard, not to mention a way to communicate with family on board.  This is a fantastic look into how technology is continuing to elevate guest experience throughout the cruise industry.

Following the tour, agents enjoyed a delicious three-course lunch in the Symphony Dining room, where attendees were looked after by attentive hospitality staff on board.

Many Thanks to Abbie, Evie & Princess cruises for the invite and a wonderful day onboard.
