COVID-19 Notice and Disclaimer to Guests at any NITN Event.

In March 2020, the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 a global pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has had an unexpected and profound impact on all of our daily lives and our businesses. COVID-19 has changed much about the way we at NI Travel News do business and the ways in which we interact with guests attending NITN Events.

At NI Travel News, we have implemented various measures in conjunction with each venue, in adherence to government guidelines.  All health and safety measures implemented aim to reduce the risk of the spread of COVID-19 among attendees of any of our events. However, we do not guarantee or warrant against the risk of infection.

None of the information provided herein is intended as medical advice but an explanation of some of the things we’re doing to mitigate the risk of the spread of COVID-19, as well as some of the things we believe our guests can do to help.

Here’s what we’re doing:

The safety of our delegates and attendees along with the NI Travel News Team and Hotel employees is, first and foremost, our main priority. NI Travel News in conjunction with all venues, have implemented several social distancing and health and safety measures to limit physical interactions between all attendees at any NITN Event.

Sanitisation facilities will be available throughout all hotels, leading to and from each area, please ensure you use these facilities responsibly. The events will follow a one-way system with a 1m social distancing practice, strictly monitored adhering to government guidelines to ensure the safety of all in attendance. (Following current guidelines as of 28th June 2021)

Attendance at each event will be limited, following all hotels guidelines, registration will be required and monitored by NI Travel News.

Test, Track and Trace will be carried out for all organised gatherings taking place.

Any material sent prior by delegates to the Hotel will be fully sanitised and stored accordingly. To further limit physical interaction, an event Pack with all information material including schedules, guides and heath and safety documentation will be sent to all attendees prior to the event. Please feel free to print this and bring it with you.

The NI Travel News and Hotel staff are directed to adhere to specific general hygiene and social distancing requirements. All staff will be wearing appropriate PPE.

 Here’s what you can do:

Staying healthy and mitigating the risk of contracting COVID-19 will require your help. Protect yourself and exercise social responsibility.

We ask all attendees coming to the event to either have a full Covid vaccination (both doses received, with the second at least 14 days prior to the event) OR take a NHS lateral flow test (taken no more than 48 hours prior to arrival at the event) OR have natural Covid antibodies based upon a positive PCR test within 6 months of the event.

We ask, for the health and safety of others, if you are showing symptoms or have been in contact with another individual showing symptoms, please do not attend any of our events.

We ask all attendees to maintain at least 1m social distancing from others when possible. Use the sanitisation facilities provided and wash your hands using soap and water for at least twenty (20) seconds as frequently as possible.

Please wear Personal Protective Equipment (masks) when moving around all venues, please manage and dispose of this responsibly.

Masks can be taken off while outside or seated but social distancing must be maintained.

Attending our events will be different than ever before. We ask for your patience, understanding, and flexibility as we all adapt to change in light of COVID-19. Despite the changes, and despite the uncertainties associated with COVID-19, NI Travel News remains committed to providing educational and enjoyable events for our travel trade partners.
