The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has awarded the Indian Ocean islands of the Maldives the Safe Travels Stamp.
The stamp demonstrates that additional health and hygiene protocols have been adopted by the destination with the aim to reduce the spread of Covid-19.
Earlier this week the Philippines became the 100th destination to receive the stamp.
Unfortunately, both destinations still remain on the UK government’s list of countries from where arrivals must quarantine for 14 days.
