WE ARE OPEN! Hotels and Pubs Across NI Allowed to Open from July 3

The Stormont Executive has agreed that hotels and pubs across Northern Ireland can open from July 3

Hotels, pubs and cafes will be able to open their doors from July 3, according to a new plan agreed by the Executive.

The proposal, aimed at restarting Northern Ireland’s hospitality sector, was put forward by Economy Minister Diane Dodds.

Hotels were originally scheduled to open on July 20, but many in the industry have been pressing for an earlier date.

Now, from July 3, all hotels, cafes, restaurants and bars that serve food are be allowed to open.

Self-contained caravans and holiday lets can also be used from June 26.

No decision has been made by the executive on whether to reduce the social distancing measure in Northern Ireland from two metres to one – a move the hospitality sector has been demanding.
