Warning of Easter Disruption Due to Spanish Airports Strike

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office is warning of disruption over the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend because of airport strikes across Spain

Workers at airports throughout Spain are planning to strike on Easter Sunday until next Wednesday.

In an update to its travel advice for Spain, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office says: “If you’re travelling during these times, you should prepare for the possibility of delays, allow additional time, and keep up to date with your airline on the status of your flight.”

Security workers have already begun an indefinite strike at Madrid Barajas Airport and Air Nostrum pilots are also striking until Wednesday and will walk out again from April 22 to 24.
