The World’s Best Hotels, Resorts, Countries, Cities, Islands, Spas, Airlines, Airports and Cruises

Condé Nast Traveller today announced the results of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards with all of Virgin Limited Edition’s African properties recognised as some of the best hotels in the world.

Mahali Mzuri, Sir Richard Branson’s luxury tented safari camp in Kenya was named number 11 in the Top 30 Resorts in Africa, while Ulusaba Private Game Reserve in the Sabi Sand was named number 13 among the Top 20 Resorts in South Africa.

Both Kasbah Tamadot, Virgin Limited Edition’s Moroccan luxury retreat in the High Atlas Mountains, and Mont Rochelle hotel & vineyard in Franschhoek were named number 14 and 18 respectively in the Top 30 Hotels in Africa.

More than 600,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers across the globe submitted a recording-breaking number of responses rating their travel experiences to provide a full snapshot of where and how we travel today.

The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry and are commonly known as “the best of the best of travel.”

“It is an incredible accolade to have all our African properties recognised in these prestigious awards and even more so because they are chosen by readers,” said Jon Brown Managing Director of Virgin Limited Edition.  “Each of these properties truly have something magical about them and it is an enormous honour to be recognised among so many other wonderful hotels and resorts.”

The 2019 Readers’ Choice Awards are published on Condé Nast Traveler’s website at https://www.cntraveler.com/the-bests/readers-choice-awards and celebrated in the November issue of Condé Nast Traveler US and UK print editions.
