Virgin Atlantic To Resume London Heathrow to Shanghai Route

From 1 May 2023, Virgin Atlantic will resume flights between London and Shanghai

From 1 May 2023, Virgin Atlantic will resume flights between London and Shanghai.

The resumption of this route between London Heathrow and Shanghai follows shortly after China announced the reopening of its borders for foreign nationals.

Passengers heading to China are not required to provide proof of vaccination but are required to provide proof of a negative PCR test.

A health declaration form also must be completed to gain entry into China.

Passengers travelling to the United Kingdom from China are required to proof a negative PCR or lateral flow.

Juha Jarvinen, Chief Commercial Officer of Virgin Atlantic commented on the reinstatement of the London and Shanghai Route, “Shanghai is the final route to return following the global pandemic, restoring our flying programme to full capacity.

Jarvinen further commented, “our focus for 2023 is on delivery, as we look forward to launching routes to new destinations, welcoming brand new clean, green aircraft and getting back to our best for our customers and people.
