US Plans to Open New Travel Corridor Between New York and London

The United States is planning to open a travel corridor between New York and London for the holiday season

The United States is planning to open a travel corridor between New York and London in time for the holiday season.

The announcement follows improved fast COVID-19 testing facilities.

Travellers would be required to be tested before their flight and again upon arrival, meaning they wouldn’t be subjected to the current mandatory 14-day quarantine period.

Currently, travellers from Europe cannot enter the US unless they are American citizens or permanent residents in the states.

The travel corridor between New York and London is awaiting approval by the Trump administration and the UK government.

If approved, the safe travel corridor would enable UK visitors to take a festive break in NYC and visa versa.

One thing that could stand in the way of a US travel corridor is the fact that the US coronavirus infection rates continue to rise.
