United Airlines is testing a new digital coronavirus pass – named CommonPass – on a flight between London Heathrow and New Jersey’s Newark Airport.
As part of the pilot test program, passengers are being asked to upload their Covid-19 test results from a certified, trusted laboratory to their mobiles and scan the QR code at the airport.
If the pilot programme is successful, it is hoped it will help persuade governments to remove or reduce quarantine requirements.
