Ultimate Strongman Championships at Crumlin Road Gaol

Later this month sees the return of the Ultimate Strongman Masters World Championship to Belfast

Over the weekend of May 25-26, 12 of the world’s most legendary strongmen will be battling it out at the capital’s historic Crumlin Road Gaol in a bid for the world title.

This family-friendly event is an incredible opportunity to witness first-hand some of the biggest names in the history of Strongman compete in what is being billed as the competition’s most star-studded line-up yet.

Last year’s champion Zydrunas Savickas is back to fight off an international group of challengers, including previous world title-holder Mark Felix of Grenada, and the USA’s Ken McClelland.

Beginning on Saturday, the contenders will be split into two groups of six who will test their strength through a gauntlet of gruelling events including Truck Pull, Super Yoke, Car Deadlift Medley, and Eliminator.

The eight highest scorers will then progress to Sunday’s final, where they’ll enter a showdown to determine who will be crowned the Ultimate Strongman Masters World Champion.

The event kicks off at 1pm on Saturday, May 25, and reaches its conclusion at 5.30pm the following day, Sunday, May 26.

Adult and child tickets can be purchased for both days or for a single day, and children aged four and under go free. Parking is available close to the venue, and drinks and hot food will also be on hand.
