The UK government has announced a rise in the cost of UK passports.

The fees, which are set to be introduced from February 2nd.

All new applications and renewals will be subject to the new fee, with a standard online application costing £82.50, in comparison to £75.50 previously.

Children’s application will increase from £49.00 to £53.50.

In terms of postal applications, adults will be subject to £93 prices and £64 for children,

In a statement, the home office said,

“The new fees will help move towards a system that meets costs,”
“The Government does not make any profit from the cost of passport applications.”
