UK CAA Puts an End to Heathrow Passenger Price Hike

The UK's Civil Aviation Authority released information regarding Heathrow Airports fees

The UK’s Civil Aviation Authority released information regarding Heathrow Airports fees.

The fee caps effect how much airlines pay when going to and from the airport, influencing the price of flights for passengers.

The authority confirmed that the current charge for 2023 will remain at current levels.

However, it is expected that maximum prices for passengers will begin to fall by 20% coming into 2024. This means the average price should fall from £31.57 per passenger to £25.43.

Richard Moriarty, the CAA Chief Executive said,
“Our priority is to ensure the travelling public can expect value for money and paying no more than is needed.”
“Our job is to reach an independent decision from conflicting commercial interests.”
“We are confident our final decision represents a good deal for consumers using Heathrow.”
