Fancy a Quick Pint? Two American tourists got more than they bargained for when they snuck into the Colosseum for a nighttime beer.
The pair, both in their 20s, snuck into the Colosseum in the early hours to enjoy a beer, and they were spotted sitting on the second ring of the ancient gladiator stadium at about 05:30 local time.
However, entry to the almost 2,000-year-old landmark is prohibited overnight leading to the pair being given a fine of €800 ($905; £670) after they admitted illegally entering the Colosseum.
