Due to popular demand, TUI River Cruises has increased capacity for Winter 2023 with an additional seven festive sailings now on sale. The boost to the program comes off the back of strong results for the river cruise line, with bookings up more than 30 per cent year on year.
The exciting expansion of the programme will see five additional Christmas market sailings on TUI Skyla, with the five-night itineraries sailing from Mainz and calling in at some of Europe’s biggest and best Christmas markets, including Frankfurt, Cologne and Dusseldorf. Guests can also expect traditional mulled wine, Christmas decorations, and festive film screenings while on board.
To get in the festive spirit, customers can also visit the 100-year-old carousel and the famous life-sized manger from Bethlehem in Dusseldorf; take in Strasbourg’s Christkindelsmärik’s Christmas tree standing at 107 feet tall and decorated with over 400 baubles; or ice skating in Bonn.
In addition, TUI Skyla will also be offering two seven-night sailings covering Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve due to increased demand from customers. These sailings promise to be festive celebrations, with carols, a traditional Christmas dinner and special entertainment. Those who welcome in the New Year with TUI River Cruises can choose to celebrate at a gala dinner followed by a party and the traditional countdown to midnight. The following morning, partygoers will be able to make the most of a sumptuous New Year’s Day brunch.

TUI flights will be available from Manchester and Gatwick Airports. Flights from Birmingham and Edinburgh Airport will also be offered through our partner airlines for these sailings.
