Tourists Ready for Lift-Off with Virgin Galactic

It's one small step for Virgin Atlantic... one giant leap for tourism!

Virgin Galactic space tourism flights are moving closer to becoming a reality as it is announced that commercial space flights will start in late June 2023.

It is nearly two years since its only manned space flight to date which went into suborbital space in July 2021, with Sir Richard Branson  on board.

Virgin Galactic will start commercial suborbital flights from next month following a flight this month with four Virgin employees on board.

Virgin said this will “validate the astronaut experience ahead of the first commercial space tourism flight”.

Flights will take off from Spaceport America in New Mexico.

“Returning to space is what we have all worked towards,” said Mike Moses, President of Spaceline Missions and Safety.
