The January 2021 Edition of NI Travel News is OUT NOW!

Pour the last of the Christmas sherry, grab the kids selection boxes and get ready to beat the lockdown blues with some serious travel inspiration!

The New Year is upon us and the January 2021 edition of Northern Ireland Travel News is OUT NOW and is available across all our digital platforms.

2020 is over and a brand new year has begun! Hurrah! With the first rounds of vaccine already distributed it won’t be long before we are all jetting off for some much needed R&R in the sun.

Let’s all keep looking forward to when we can walk on sun-soaked sandy beaches and dip our toes in the crystal clear waters of the Med! So, pour yourself a glass of the last of the Christmas sherry (aunt Janet wasn’t in your ‘bubble’ so we’re sure there plenty left *wink wink*), grab the kids selection boxes (you know, the ones you hid on top of the kitchen cabinets) and get ready to beat the lockdown blues!

The January 2021 edition is jam-packed with some serious travel inspiration to remind you of what the world has to offer when we can all get exploring once more!

Forgetting about the lockdown for just a moment… just a little one… the January edition of NI Travel News is the first to go live post-Brexit – something that has been a bit overlooked this past few months as Covid took the spotlight – and travelling might be a tiny bit different for British passport holders, so we’ve put together all the information you need to make your next holiday post-Brexit (and post-coved) as smooth and stress-free as possible.

The latest edition also includes the latest staff travels (both at home and away) and the sixth issue of The Local Tourist, bringing you lots of fun things to explore close to home. As well as all the latest, travel, tourism and cruise news, catch up with Chelsea’s in the second part of her once-in-a-lifetime trip to Barbados and join Nigel as gets some fresh air following the Coleridge Way.

Inside the sixth edition of The Local Tourist, Heidi McAlpin books in for a night at Belfast’s newest boutique hotel, Chelsea and her mum explore more of Kilkenny and we take a look at the fantastic line-up of hotels and cosy lodges that you should check into this winter.

We also have two fantastic competitions in the latest edition. You can win a trip for two to either Aberdeen or Inverness with Loganair, including free parking at George Best Belfast City Airport. We also have a unique opportunity to win a mid-week stay for two at the Slieve Donard Resort & Spa – to enter simply CLICK HERE to go to the digital edition and then enter on the interactive competition form.

Whatever your plans (and yes, we can now actually start planning again!) for 2021 we hope you will enjoy this latest edition.

We would like to mention that all the staff travels covered in this edition were taken with full respect to the Covid rules, regulations and restrictions during October 2020 when we were still allowed to venture further than the local corner shop and all safety precautions were followed for both airlines and destinations.

We would also like to take this opportunity thank you for all your continued support over the past year. We deeply appreciate every single one of our readers who continues to navigate these uncharted waters with us.
