Take a Holiday in Britain Says CMV

Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) is offering an opportunity to explore the wonderful scenery of Britain

In 2021 Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) has an excellent choice of varied Round Britain itineraries sailing from different UK ports on smaller to mid-sized ships for adults only, carrying fewer passengers.

This is an opportunity to explore the wonderful scenery, fascinating history and ancient cultures that make up this wonderful country. Fares shown are based on the current ‘Buy one get one free’ offer, book before 31st July.

Magellan sails from Newcastle 30 May 2021 on an 11-night cruise visiting Dundee, Scotland then calling in the Orkneys and the charming picture postcard looking Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. Two calls to the Emerald Isle, Belfast in the north and Ringaskiddy in the south provide an interesting contrast. A further couple of British gems, the Isles of Scilly and Guernsey offer spectacular landscapes. A call is made to Honfleur, Normandy before returning to Newcastle.

CMV’s Marco Polo also departs 30 May 2021 next year an 11-night British Isles discovery cruise sailing from Hull. A good mix of contrasting places to see include: Invergordon, gateway to the Highlands; the remote Shetland Isles; Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis: and Tobermory that inspired the TV ‘Balamory’ children’s TV programme. Sailing over to Ireland calls are made to Belfast and Cobh close to Cork. At the beautiful Isles of Scilly, an optional excursion to the famous Abbey Gardens is a ‘must do’. The final call is at Portsmouth, one of the homes of Britain’s rich maritime history.

Columbus sails from London Tilbury 19 June 2021 on a 10-night voyage calling in the Orkneys with a host of optional excursions to explore remarkable scenery and history before moving on to the Isle of Skye. Tobermory, on the Isle of Mull is also included and then on to Belfast where The Titanic museum is well worth a visit. The Isles of Scilly is ideally visited by a mid-sized ship as is beautiful Guernsey. Honfleur, a delightful medieval Normandy town provides a bonus call.

The health and safety of CMV’s guests is their top and overriding priority. All passengers were safely repatriated with no COVID-19 cases reported on board any CMV ships. CMV already operate enhanced health protocols across their fleet and is currently working with internal and external health advisors as well as the World Health Organisation (WHO) and Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) in order to adopt updated advisories and heightened protocols.

The fares quoted are based on two people sharing a twin inner cabin and include delicious full board cuisine, afternoon teas and late-night snacks, Captain’s Cocktail Party, complimentary tea & coffee 6am to midnight, big show entertainment, cabarets and classical interludes, daytime activities and leisure facilities, guest speaker and arts & crafts, porterage of luggage, port to cabin and port taxes.
