Taiwan Lifts All Covid Travel Restrictions

Visitors are now allowed back in the country after 2.5 years without testing

Taiwan has fully reopened its borders today (13 October) after lifting all remaining covid-19 entry restrictions.

The country has welcomed back tourism after a period of 2.5 years of covid-19 entry restrictions.

Taiwan, along with other Asian neighbours, required those arriving during that time period to quarantine, seeing a slow start to bring tourism back into the country.

Now, visitors are no longer required to quarantine upon arrival, along with the removal of PCR testing.

Visitors will be expected to monitor their health throughout the week after arriving and gain a negative rapid antigen test on the day of arrival.

Despite no quarantine, those wishing to leave their accommodation during the week long monitor should test negative for covid-19 on the day of leaving or the day before.
