Cahernane House Hotel, Co. Kerry exudes a sense of relaxation and peace where guests can retreat from the hectic pace of everyday life

The Live Well Bloom Family has teamed up with the PREM Group owned, four star, Cahernane House in order to create ‘Spring’ Into Yoga which runs on the 27-29th March 2020.

The two night/ three day spring yoga retreat has been expertly designed to allow guests to indulge in a weekend filled with sumptuous yoga sessions, art sessions and a healing sound bath under the stars. Guests also have the chance to explore the luscious landscape of the Killarney National Park with a walk to the nearby Muckross House on the agenda along with a freshly prepared picnic. The ‘Spring’ Into Yoga Package is priced at €330 per person and includes two nights bed and breakfast along with dinner on both evenings. The package is a beautiful cross-pollination of stillness, restful yoga, mindful meditation and art bringing you back to a quieter place to allow your creativity and imagination to bloom.

The weekend starts on the evening of Friday, 27th of March and begins with a gentle yoga class in the Library. Guests are then treated to dinner in Cellar Bar, deep in the heart of the old country house. Before bed, guests take part in a guided meditation and sound bath to bring the imagination into blissful relaxation. The session will begin with breathing techniques to ground and balance both the body and the mind. Guests will unwind into an extended Savasana, a yoga pose of total relaxation, where they will be immersed in the healing sounds of the Crystal Bowls. Crystal Bowls have been linked to stress reduction, anxiety control, pain relief, immune system support and emotional clarity. Crystal Bowls also promote overall happiness and wellbeing.

The following morning, before breakfast, guests will take part in a wake-up yoga session, to strengthen and prepare the mind and body for the day ahead. After breakfast, guests will take a walk to the nearby Muckross House and Torc Waterfall where they will be treated to a picnic lunch on the lawn. That afternoon, the Live Well Bloom Family will host an art workshop overlooking the Killarney National Park where guests can take inspiration from the surrounding fauna and flora. Nature surrounds the property and guests will be amazed to see wild deer grazing freely in the fields around the gardens and waterfowl flying above. Following the art workshop, guests will enjoy a five-course meal in the stunning 2 AA Rosette, Herbert Restaurant. That night, guests will be led in a guided sound bath, under the stars (weather permitting).

The weekend wraps up with a fun yoga class. This is a fun teamwork style yoga class which incorporates music, acroyoga and body orchestra. A Gratitude Circle in the Library, where participants are encouraged to share specific appreciations for the blessings and abundance of life, closes the weekend’s events.

Cahernane House Hotel in Killarney is the perfect place for people to experience true relaxation and peace. Set on the edge of Killarney National Park and lakes, the historic country house enjoys a tranquil location yet is just a twenty-minute walk into Killarney town itself.  Built in 1877 the property has been extensively renovated by the owners, PREM Group who have spent over €7.8 million on an ambitious renewal programme.  There are 12 bedrooms in the original Manor House, 28 in the Garden Wing and the former Coach House, once home to the horses and carriages of the Herbert family who built the house is now the setting for eight new luxurious bedrooms and where guests on the Sleep Coach package will stay.

The modest stone cut Coach House building looks the same on the outside as it always did, however, inside a different scene awaits. Each bedroom contains feature wallpapers, luxurious fabrics and original Irish antique furniture. Some of the bathrooms have free-standing claw foot baths while others feature huge walk-in rain showers and handmade tiles.  The décor of each of the eight rooms was inspired by nature and pays homage to the native Kerry flora and fauna. Situated away from the main house, the Coach House embraces the quietness and tranquillity of the surrounding landscape. Beds are from the 7th Heaven range, and at night, before guests retire for the evening the bedrooms are misted with the soothing aromas of patchouli, eucalyptus and ho wood from the Elemis Spa range.

The renovations at Cahernane House Hotel are just one of the large capital projects being carried out by PREM Group, who also operate more than 38 properties throughout Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and the UK. The group recently finished renovating and extending some of its other properties including The Hoban Hotel, Co. Kilkenny, Tulfarris Hotel and Golf Resort, Co. Wicklow and The Osprey Hotel in Co. Kildare.

The property is a member of Ireland’s Blue Book and the prestigious Condé Nast Johannsen’s Traveler Guide. The hotel also won an International Gold Award of Excellence for the best four star hotel in Ireland from CIE Tours International in January 2019.

The ‘Spring’ Into Yoga package is available on 27-29th March 2020 and is subject to availability.
