In a protest against working conditions, Spanish EasyJet Cabin Staff are set to strike for nine days throughout July.

News of an impending strike comes days after Spanish Ryanair Cabin Crew under the USO Union have announced that they are set to strike for six days over the course of July.

The USO Union have called for three phased walkouts in July, between the 1st and 3rd, 15th and 17th with final dates scheduled for the 29th and 31st July.

The planned strike action calls for a 40% increase to the salaries of Spanish Easyjet Cabin Crew. With Miguel Galan from the USO Union highlighting that “the company underestimated the outlook, was more pessimistic and conservative and is not ready for the demand.”

Further adding that, “this generates a domino effect on us.”

There are hopes that a solution can be arranged prior to the strike, as USO Union Members and EasyJet management are set to meet on Thursday.
