Spain Extends Covid-19 Entry Requirements

The Spanish Government have extended its covid entry requirements for non-essential travel until June 15

The Spanish Government have extended its Covid Entry rules for non-essential travel until June 15.

Therefore, vaccinated adults must be able to provide proof of vaccination within the last 270 days or provide proof of either a booster dose or a valid recovery certificate.

Whereas, unvaccinated international travellers above the ages of 18 can only enter Spain if proof of recovery from Covid dated within six months of the date of travel is provided.

Initially, Spains Covid Entry requirements were set to lift on Sunday 15 May. However, the Ministry of Interior of Spain released a statement clarifying that “The border order to be issued by the Minister for Home Affairs extends all current restrictions on Spain’s external land, sea and air borders under the recommendations of the Council of the European Union due to the health crisis caused by Covid until 24.00 hours on June 15, 2022, and replaces the current one, which expires on Sunday, May 15.”

Unvaccinated children aged between 12 and 17 are still required to provide proof of a negative PCR test taken 72 hours prior to arrival in Spain.

Currently, only under-12s are exempt from Spain’s Covid-19 entry requirements.
