Shorter Quarantine Likely for Vaccinated Arrivals Says Thailand Tourism

The 14-day quarantine period may be relaxed for vaccinated arrivals in Thailand

Quarantine requirements could be eased for vaccinated visitors arriving in Thailand. the new measures could begin in October.

The relaxing of quarantine measures are aimed at helping the government to rescue the tourism sector.

Currently, all arrivals are required to go through 14-day quarantine upon entry to the country.

The spokeswoman did not say by how much quarantine may be shortened.

Dr. Apisamai Srirangson, Assistant Spokeswoman for the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration said: “The quarantine period will be different from those who are not vaccinated. Travel from overseas would be easier.”
