For anyone interested in nature, discovery and adventure, Birr Castle Demesne is the place for you this Easter break. Our Easter activities run from the 3rd to the 14th of April with lots of options on offer from Easter Egg Hunts to Biodiversity Camps, or Family Trails. Our fun Wild Connection camps will let your kids connect with nature in the great outdoors under the guidance of our experienced education team. These camps (supported by Science Foundation Ireland) will take place over two separate weeks in April. Choose between Week 1 (03rd – 06th April) or Week 2 (11th – 14th April), from 10.00-14.00 each day. Early booking is essential.
On Easter Sunday and Monday, the 9th and 10th of April we have a fantastic “Easter Egg Hunt”, where you will have the chance to meet with the Easter Bunny and Friends. Once you’ve completed the trail, you can pick up your Easter Egg from the Mad Hatter…all going well! Pre-booking is essential for the Easter Egg Hunt, as there are limited spaces available.
Along with the Easter Egg Hunt, we will have a variety of trails to explore as well as our Treehouse Adventure Playground, and 120 acres of parklands and gardens.
During Easter School Holidays, the Family Quest will be in full swing, alongside the Solar Trail, Gallery Challenge, The Red Tree Trail, and new for 2023 The Engineering Trail. Our Courtyard Café with wonderful organic food and Gift Shop is also on site and opened each day of the Easter Break.
