All-inclusive luxury operator, Scenic, has unveiled new land tours with the release of its 2021/22 Japan and South Korea escorted touring programme. Guests will be immersed in an in-depth discovery of Japan’s earliest history, customs and traditions on the new 16-day Hidden Wonders of North Japan itinerary, or explore the hidden sights of the less discovered South Korea with the 12-day The Soul of South Korea escorted tour.

To accompany the launch, Scenic is offering savings up to £1,000 per couple, with complimentary private door-to-door chauffeur-driven transfers also available on new land touring bookings made before 30 June 2021.

16-Day Hidden Wonders of North Japan escorted tour

Often overlooked for the more familiar golden triangle of Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, a journey through the north of Japan will reveal many natural and man-made wonders. Take in the sweeping views at Matushima Bay with a visit to the Zuigangi Temple – one of Tohoku’s most famous Zen temples. Guests will partake in an interactive private demonstration and lesson in playing the Taiko drums given by Taiko Masters, witness the creation of the wooden Kokeshi doll before painting their very own doll, as well as a visit to Hirosaki Castle and botanical gardens – one of Japan’s best blossom-viewing locations. The new land journey is Scenic’s first venture north to Hokkaido and offers guests a full Japanese cultural immersion, including a special stay in an onsen in Hanamaki.

12-Day The Soul of South Korea escorted tour

From serene slow towns filled with canopies of pink blossoms to lively high-tech cities enriched in incredible sights and cuisine, this 12-day tour offers an incredible insight into the lesser known Asian treasure of South Korea. Discover ancient Korean culture at the Hyo Jae Cultural Hall where guests are welcome to try on traditional clothing before enjoying a meal of Bibimbap, a rice preparation accompanied by meat and vegetables, in an evening hosted by the renowned Lee Hyo-Jae – referred to as South Korea’s Martha Stewart. Be inspired by a visit to the Gamchon Culture Village, a once modest mountainside community that has transformed into an art hotspot or choose to ride the Danubi train around Taejongdae Park Rocky Cliff, famous for its seascapes.

All itineraries are fully-inclusive, with prices including return flights, transfers, gratuities, a selection of local specialty dining options and all excursions. Land tours are capped at a maximum group size of 20 guests to ensure an intimate, social touring experience.

All new bookings are covered by Scenic’s flexible booking policy, enabling guests to defer their travel to another date or itinerary up to 60 days prior to departure* and include Scenic’s Deposit Protection Plan.
