Ryanair Makes U-Turn in Refund Policy

Low-cost airline Ryanair has made a u-turn amidst the ongoing controversy over refunds for cancelled flights

Ryanair has amended its controversial refund policy to allow unused vouchers to be exchanged for cash. Customers who were offered vouchers for cancelled flights have now been told they can get money back after a year if vouchers remain unused

Recently it emerged that the airline was primarily offering vouchers for flights cancelled due to the current travel restrictions in place – this came after many customers had previously been told their refunds for cancelled flights were being processed.

Affected customers were told they could wait for refunds, however they weren’t given any solid indication of when their refunds would be processed. Normally refunds must be processed within seven days.
