Royal Caribbean Will Now Accept Guests without Vaccinations

Royal Caribbean has said it will now accept guests who have not been vaccinated - with a negative Covid test

Royal Caribbean has said it will now accept guests who have not been vaccinated – with a negative Covid test. This is a reversal of its original policy where the cruise line stated that all guests must be vaccinated to board.

The cruise line still recommends all people to get the Covid-19 vaccination, however it will not make it compulsory for guest. All crew members still must be vaccinated.

In a statement, Royal Caribbean said: “Vaccines are not required for passengers, but all ship crew members will be vaccinated. Guests who are unvaccinated will be required to undergo testing and follow other protocols.

“Guests are strongly recommended to set sail fully vaccinated, if they are eligible.”

Florida has passed a new law banning companies from asking for proof of vaccination in the state – companies who flout this law will be subject to fines. It was suggested that cruise lines sailing out of Florida who require passengers to be vaccinated could face fines of £5,000 per guest.
