Royal Caribbean Stops Selling all Tours to Active Volcanoes

Dozens of excursions cancelled with immediate effect in the wake of volcanic eruption on White Island

Following the volcanic eruption on New Zealand’s White Island last week, Royal Caribbean will no longer sell shore excursions to active volcanoes and is taking immediate effect with existing bookings.  Affected tours have been cancelled and customers will be issued with credit. Specific cancelled excursion have not yet been listed, but it reported to be dozens.

Royal Caribbean spokesperson Melissa Charbonneau commented: “After the tragic incident in New Zealand, we are suspending tours of active volcanoes,”

“Our main focus now is on helping our guests impacted.”
