Qatar Airways Increases Flight Frequency from Dublin

Airline announces plans to increase flights from Dublin to double daily during July to October 2020 (increase from 11 flights per week)

Qatar Airways, the multiple award-winning airline, is marking the New Year by adding services to Dublin, Ireland; London Gatwick, UK; Malaga, Spain; and Lisbon, Portugal due to strong early sales. These increases bring the total to 79 additional frequencies to 24 existing destinations planned for the New Year, with more still to be announced.

Flights from Dublin will increase from 11 times per week to double daily during July to October 2020, offering passengers more options and flexibility to fly from the city.

Introducing increased services from Dublin will give passengers greater choice to travel onto a wide range of flights operated by Qatar Airways, the most popular of which from the UK and Ireland include Bangkok, Thailand; Perth, Australia; Bali, Indonesia; Male, Maldives and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Gary Kershaw, Qatar Airways Country Manager for UK and Ireland, comments: “As passengers across the world consider their summer holiday plans, Qatar Airways is thrilled to be able to launch a host of new flight increases to supplement the exciting new destinations which will also launch in 2020. Our increased schedule to and from Dublin and London Gatwick is a key component of Qatar Airways’ investment in the UK and Ireland, and we look forward to welcoming even more passengers on board in the New Year.”

A multiple award-winning airline, Qatar Airways was named ‘World’s Best Airline’ by the 2019 World Airline Awards, managed by the international air transport rating organisation Skytrax. It was also named ‘Best Airline in the Middle East’, ‘World’s Best Business Class’, and ‘Best Business Class Seat’, in recognition of its ground-breaking Business Class experience, Qsuite. It is the only airline to have been awarded the coveted “Skytrax Airline of the Year” title, which is recognised as the pinnacle of excellence in the airline industry, five times.

Qatar Airways currently operates a modern fleet of more than 250 aircraft via its hub, Hamad International Airport (HIA), to more than 160 destinations worldwide. The world’s fastest-growing airline has added a number of exciting new destinations to its growing network this year, including Rabat, Morocco; Izmir, Turkey; Malta; Davao, Philippines; Lisbon, Portugal; Mogadishu, Somalia; Langkawi, Malaysia; and Gaborone, Botswana.
