Princess Cruises Announces 2024 Celebrity Speaker Line-Up Across UK-Based Ships

Princess Cruises has unveiled its upcoming celebrity speaker line-up for its 2024 cruises on ships sailing out of Southampton

Princess Cruises has unveiled its upcoming celebrity speaker line-up for its 2024 cruises on ships sailing out of Southampton.

The guests will span across three ships – Sky Princess, Regal Princess and Caribbean Princess – and include names from a range of industries, including TV, food, music and sport. A few of the guests will be familiar faces who are returning to Princess Cruises due to their popularity from the speaker programme in previous years.

The 2024 speaker series comprises of:

  • Sue Holderness – Much-loved British actress, best known for her role as Marlene in hit BBC 1 sitcom, Only Fools and Horses. Onboard 12-night Canary Islands, departing 16 November on Sky Princess.
  • Pete Best – Throughout 1960-1962, he performed alongside newly formed band, The Beatles. As their former drummer he helped drive their popularity during their early days. Onboard the eight-nights Norwegian Fjords, departing 27 April on Sky Princess and two 12-night British Isles cruises departing 20 June and 24 September on Regal Princess.
  • Rustie Lee – Best known for her culinary skills and her love for performing. Since the early 2000’s she can be seen across several UK TV shows from Loose Women to The Wheel and has released her own cookbook. Onboard the 14-night Mediterranean Explorer and 31-night Canada & New England, departing 5 May and 15 September on Sky Princess.
  • Debra Stephenson – British comedy legend, impressionist and actress, she has had a career spanning over 20 years. Featuring in hit shows such as Coronation Street, Waterloo Road, Holby City alongside numerous theatre shows and a Royal Variety Show performance alongside her comedy group, The Imitation Game. Onboard the eight-night Norwegian Fjords, departing 24 May on Sky Princess.
  • Nina Wadia – Actress best known for her long-standing, award-winning role in UK drama, Eastenders. She has also featured in numerous Shakespeare shows, Dr Who, Skins and has performed repeatedly for Queen Elizabeth at jubilees, birthdays and alongside Monty Python legend Sir Michael Palin at the Royal Albert. Onboard the 14-night Norway, Denmark & Sweden, departing 1 June on Sky Princess.
  • Peter Beardsley – A leading English footballer with a career spanning twenty years. His career and talent have taken him to top clubs such as Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle.  Onboard the 14-night Iceland & Norway, departing 29 June, on Sky Princess.
  • Terry Butcher – A former captain for the England national team. Having played in three FIFA World Cups over a decade for England, made 445 appearances at club level and managed 10 clubs over 28 years, he is an undisputed football legend. Onboard the seven-night Norwegian Fjords, departing 13 July on Sky Princess.
  • Derek Redmond – One of Britain’s most famous athletes, Derek Redmond is a World and European relay champion. Having broken the British 400m record on two occasions, Derek was one of the country’s best athletes during the 1980s and 1990s. He now works as a motivational speaker sharing his remarkable story with audiences up and down the country. Onboard the 14-night Norway, Denmark & Sweden, departing 20 July, on Sky Princess.
  • Michael Edwards – Eddie Edwards, also known as Eddie ‘the Eagle’, is a British skier and Olympic speaker who was the first Briton to compete in the Olympic ski jumping challenge. Onboard the seven-night Norwegian Fjords, departing 3 August on Sky Princess and 12-night European Explorer cruise, departing 8 October on Caribbean Princess.
  • Ricky Tomlinson – Known to millions as Jim Royle, Ricky is one of the UK’s best-loved actors. He’s starred in Brookside, Cracker, and several films including Mike Bassett: England Manager, but his portrayal of the iconic Jim Royle has made him one of our most recognisable faces. Onboard the 14-night Mediterranean Adventurer, departing 10 August on Sky Princess.
  • Simon Weston – Former member of the Welsh Guards, known for his charity work and recovery from severe burn injuries suffered during the Falklands War. Onboard the eight-night Scandinavia, departing 24 August and the 12-night Canary Islands voyage, departing 16 October on Sky Princess. Simon Weston is also onboard the 12-night British Isles departing 21 April and 3 May on Regal Princess.
  • Andy Reid – Motivational speaker, writer and war veteran Reid is the first triple amputee to reach the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. The author of ‘Standing Tall’ and co-founder of the Standing Tall foundation, a charity that provides veterans free mental health support and counselling, his charitable work was awarded an MBE in 2019. Onboard the 14-night Mediterranean Explorer, departing 1 September and 31-night Canada & New England cruise, departing 15 September on Sky Princess.
  • Grant Harrold – Former British Royal Household member and a leading etiquette expert, royal commentator, entertainer, and broadcaster. Former butler to King Charles and princess’ William and Harry. Onboard the 16-night Iceland & Greenland cruise, departing 13 August plus 14-night Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Wales cruise, departing 29 August on Caribbean Princess and 11 different 12-night British Isles cruises departing from 27 May through to 24 September on Regal Princess.
