Poland has Reopened Borders to UK Tourists

Direct flights between Poland and the UK have re-started...

As of Wednesday 1st July, UK citizens were allowed to travel into, out of and throughout Poland, without being asked to undergo a period of quarantine. From the 4th July Poland was also exempt from the FCO advice against all non-essential international travel. Passengers returning to England from Poland will no longer need to self-isolate on arrival.

The announcement came off the back of the new policy measures set out by the Polish government, ensuring that health and safety is at the highest possible standard for the reopening of the hospitality and tourism industry. Detailed guidelines for hotels, restaurants and tourist attractions were announced by the Ministry of Development and the Polish Tourism Organisation.

Each business operating in the hospitality industry must adopt the following procedures:

  •  Limits to the number of individuals staying in a building, both visitors and staff
  • Implement temperature checks before entering a building – individuals who show possible symptoms of the disease will not be allowed to enter
  • Staff must wear face masks and gloves at all times
  • Provide regular disinfections of public areas and locations such as counters, handles, payment terminals, hotel room keys, elevators, toilets etc

All future visitors to Poland are asked to follow the below advice:

  1.  Only travel when you are in good health
  2. Only travel with the people you live with
  3.  Cover your nose and mouth on public transport
  4. Observe sanitary and epidemiological safety rules in every place you visit
  5. Visit the Ministry of Development website for current updates before you book a hotel
  6. Avoid crowded places and keep social distancing wherever possible
  7. If you become sick during your trip, remain in your room, and notify the staff of the facility where you are staying

“The UK market has always been very dear to us and we just cannot wait to welcome you back in our lovely cities. We have been analysing travel’s searches and the ongoing trend is promising. There is still the desire to visit our country among the UK travellers”- summarises Mrs. Iwona Bialobrzycka, Director
