P&O Ferries is ‘On Board’ for NI Open

P&O Ferries, which offers the shortest, fastest crossings to Scotland from Larne to Cairnryan, is once again on board to support The Northern Ireland Open at Galgorm Castle this year

Among other travel requirements, the event organisers are particularly indebted to the ferry company for assisting them in the smooth transportation of the European Tour scoreboard to and from events either side of the Galgorm Castle event.

Ross Oliver, NI Open Event Manager, commented “We are delighted to have P&O Ferries on board as a sponsor again this year. We’ve built a sound working relationship with the ferry company over the years as we’ve grown our event and, of course, Larne is the handiest port to access the NI Open for those commuting by ferry from Great Britain”

Sarah Rosier, Director of Passenger Sales at P&O Ferries, said; “The Northern Ireland Open team are a pleasure to work with and we are happy to continue our support of the event which is home to Northern Ireland’s largest golf event of 2018.

“P&O Ferries is proud to associate with the golf fraternity and to assist in the transportation of such a vital component as the European Tour’s scoreboard.  In addition to people and cars, we transport a wide range of other precious items on our seven daily sailings and this is one that definitely goes down on our record of unique items carried.

“We look forward to welcoming golf fans from Great Britain on board our Cairnryan to Larne service as we bring them across for the event.”
