One of the DP World Tour’s annual golf competitions, the British Masters attracts thousands of spectators each year – providing a fantastic platform to showcase our superb golf. Tourism Ireland reminded golfers that The Open will return to Royal Portrush in 2025 and Adare Manor will host the Ryder Cup in 2027.

Julie Wakley, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Great Britain, said:

“Our presence at this year’s British Masters was an excellent opportunity to remind golfers that Northern Ireland offers some of the very best golf in the world, as well as spectacular scenery and fantastic experiences.

“Golf is the world’s largest sports-related travel market and Tourism Ireland is working hard to drive home the message that a golfing holiday on the island of Ireland is about much more than a round of 18 holes – the combination of our world-class golf and our unique brand of hospitality plays a key role in attracting golfers from Great Britain and elsewhere around the world.”

In recent months, Tourism Ireland has been leveraging the tourism potential of golf tournaments in other important golf markets, including the Dutch Open in Cromvoirt, European Open in Hamburg, Scandinavian Mixed in Stockholm and International Open in Munich. Tourism Ireland will also attend the Ryder Cup in Rome, PGA Championship in Wentworth and the Open de France in Paris, all in September, as well as the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, in November.
