The shortlist for TTG’s Top 50 Travel Agencies 2021 has been revealed – with Barrhead Travel, Feherty Travel, Limavady Travel and two Oasis branches shortlisted for Top Travel Agency award in the Northern Ireland regional category.
Meanwhile, in the nationwide categories, Feherty Travel were shortlisted in the Top Luxury Agency category and Barrhead Travel were shortlisted in the Top Touring & Adventure category.
The five companies in each category, will now go head-to-head in the final, with the winners to be announced at a ceremony on 19 March 2021.
TTG editor Sophie Griffiths said: “Despite the tumultuous backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic, we took the decision to forge ahead with the sixth TTG Top 50 Travel Agencies in 2021.
“This year, the industry needs to reflect on its own resilience and determination more than ever and we wanted to bring some positivity to what has been an extremely difficult 12 months for us all.
“We will be looking for examples of how agencies have navigated the rocky landscape of 2020, looked after their customers and supported their own staff. We are anticipating hearing some incredible stories from our shortlisted agencies and we’re looking forward to celebrating their success in March.”
The shortlist was decided through rating by a wide panel of agent-facing suppliers, including tour operators, airlines, GDSs, cruise lines, and hotel companies.
Suppliers were asked to rate agents they had worked with in the past 12 months, and to consider expertise and service, with particular consideration given to the challenges faced by the industry this year.
