NI Scrap Pre-Departure Testing

The Northern Ireland Executive have confirmed it will scrap the requirement to carry out a pre-departure test before arriving in Northern Ireland

The Northern Ireland Executive have confirmed it will scrap the requirement to carry out a pre-departure test before arriving in Northern Ireland.
From 4am on Friday (7 January) fully vaccinated arrivals and under 18s will no longer need a negative covid test or to self isolate upon arrival.
This brings Northern Ireland in line with the Republic of Ireland and England who announced the same change yesterday afternoon (5 January).
From Sunday 9 January, the day 2 testing will also move to lateral flow tests, however the NHS lateral flow tests cannot be used and therefore individuals must purchase the test from a separate provider.
