NI Executive Set to Discuss NI’s Quarantine Measures

The NI Executive is set to discuss whether or not changes can be made to the current quarantine measures

The NI Executive is set to discuss whether or not changes can be made to the current quarantine measures, including the possibility of an air bridge list.

Changes to England and Scotland’s quarantine rules take effect tomorrow (July 10).

The English and Scottish governments have agreed separate air bridge lists where travellers will be exempt from the 14-day quarantine rules.

It is not clear when Stormont will agree to a list of air bridges and amend NI’s quarantine regulations, despite repeated calls from the travel and tourism industry.

Currently anyone entering NI from outside the Common Travel Area must isolate for 14 days. The Common Travel Area covers the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.
