Both Belfast International Airport and City of Derry Airport have taken to social media to alert passengers of potential disruption; this is due to a number of planned protests taking place across the province.
Taking to social media, Belfast International Airport said ‘passengers are advised to allow time for their journey over the next few days. Info on any disruption can be found on @TrafficwatchNI website’
City of Derry Airport also took to social media, saying: ‘ road users are advised that protests are planned at a number of locations in NI over the next few days. You should allow extra time for journeys or when travelling to appointments due to potential traffic disruption.’
The planned protests are in relation to fuel prices and have been orchestrated through social media. From Tuesday (14th April) the protests are expected to take place on the Westlink, Belfast, Sprucefield, Lisburn, Larne Harbour, Nutt’s Corner, Sandyknowes roundabout in Mallusk, Toomebridge on the A6, Omagh Town Centre and Ballygawley roundabout on the A5.
