New Mandatory Rules for Visitors to Canada

Canada's Public Health Agency has issued new rules for international visitors to Canada

Visitors heading to Canada will now be required to submit details of a quarantine plan and fill out a self-assessment form before departure.

These new rules, issued by Canada’s Public Health Agency, will come into effect on November 21.

Currently visitors are allowed to present these details on arrival in Canada, however, these details must now be submitted via the ArriveCAN app in advance.

The rules apply to visitors arriving by air but those coming by land boders are also ‘strongly encouraged’ to do the same.

Anyone not complying with this could be fined up to $1,000.
