New Mallorca Route Launches from Belfast City Airport with Jetsgo Holidays

A new summer route to Palma de Mallorca Airport from George Best Belfast City Airport, to be operated by JetsGo Holidays, has been announced

The service to the Balearic Islands destination is expected to be popular with holidaymakers including those with families and will run weekly from June to September 2018.

Katy Best, Commercial and Marketing Director at Belfast City Airport, said: “We are delighted to welcome a new charter partner on board, and to offer the JetsGo Holidays service to our customers for summer 2018.

“The route has been timetabled specifically with families in mind and with good availability of holidays for those travelling with two, three, or more children, we anticipate high demand for this charter service.”

Famed for its sandy beaches and picturesque seaside ports, Mallorca also offers a wealth of historic attractions to tourists from the old town of Alcudia to the beautiful capital city of Palma de Mallorca.

Daniel Reilly, CEO of JetsGo Holidays, commented: “At JetsGo Holidays, we are proud to be different and we aim to offer our customers the best value package holidays on the market, whether they are seeking a self-catering break or an all-inclusive deal.

“Mallorca is one of the most idyllic destinations in the Balearic Islands, providing a welcome escape for families of all sizes.

“Over recent years we have built up our portfolio of three-star to five-star accommodation on the island and have put special focus on providing options for larger families.

“The convenience offered by Belfast City Airport fits in well with our ethos of providing a stress-free and memorable holiday experience to our customers.”

JetsGo Holidays, which also operates from Manchester to Mallorca, was established in 2014 offering fully protected package holidays to Spain.

Katy Best added: “The arrival of JetsGo Holidays comes at the end of another successful year for Belfast City Airport which saw us named the most convenient airport in the UK and Ireland and as one of the most punctual in the UK.

“We consistently work to widen and improve our network, both domestically and across Europe, as we strive to provide new routes for the business traveller and holidaymaker.”

The first flights to Mallorca will depart Belfast City Airport on Sunday, June 24, 2018 with package holiday prices starting from just £349pp for seven nights.
