Travel Republic has become the latest company to offer Covid-19 cover, including covering cancellation and medical costs – also offering cover for holidaymakers who fall ill BEFORE they travel.
The insurance will cover travellers who fall ill while on holiday or up to 14 days prior to travel. It also covers those who are hospitalised within 28 days of the start of their trip.
The insurance will also cover you if a travelling companion who has been denied boarding as a result of temperature checks or a positive Covid-19 test at the airport.
Travellers forced to extend their holiday as a result of falling ill abroad will also be covered.
You will also be able to claim if your hotel or accommodation is closed due to the virus.
